UNDERGROUND FOUNDATION

The creativity found underground in the cycle of existence.

The ascending and receding patterns painted on the walls, graffiti.

The  fragility and toughness.

A basement dwelling from the  pre demolition of the 1950’s. The  oldest boy was given the room in the basement to live so he could stoke the coal fire. The brightly painted  basements of Regent South have their own stories of habitation. The  juxtaposition of these images creates the narrative.
