LEFT BEHIND

As I wander through the empty spaces of Regent Park, I wonder about  the relocated families  and where they are living now. Some of the residents are in the new townhouses  I see the smiling  children, faces pressed against the windows or  playing on the new sidewalks.

I think about their moving days,  capturing images of the packing, the sorting, the leaving behind  pieces of their lives. Dumpsters piled high,  filled with discarded furniture, clothing and toys.
